What God Wants Most

John 3 16.jpg

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

It is a long journey from the first day of Epiphany to Ash Wednesday, February 22. During this season we are looking for God's greatest manifestation of His love for us, Christ Jesus.

The whole story of the Epiphany season is meant for us. We, each of us, are the "whosoever" of John 3:16. God gave Himself for you and for me! A whole year is ahead of you. If you have not done it yet, please, be encouraged to give God the best New Year's resolution you ever could, a relationship with Him. You are important, so important that Jesus came and gave Himself on your behalf. All He has ever wanted is to give you the chance to be free in Him. To be His. To know Him as a personal God, Friend, Companion.

Won't you give Him what He wants most?

Prayer:
Father, we thank you for revealing yourself to us in Jesus the Christ. We do not deserved it, but we know that He loves us deeply. Forgive us, O Lord, for any attitude that we harbor that on any level sees ourselves as better or more righteous than others. O Lord, help us realize that the walls that we erect for others only form our own prisons! May we, through your guidance and our faithful obedience, find new avenues in ways that we have not imagined of holding the Light of your love so that it may be a Light of revelation for all people. We thank you for your love, praise you for your Gift, ask for your continued Presence with us, and bring these petitions in the name of your Son, who has truly revealed your heart. Amen.
